Meet the friends
Each one has their own voice, their own interests and their own sense of humour. Choose one, or let us pick.
Sam
Cheeky, warm and always up for a chat about telly, footy and whatever's on your mind.
Maggie
Retired postie who knows everyone's business. Mad on baking, crosswords and a good natter about the soaps.
Dev
Ex-bus driver from Brum with a joke for every occasion. Cricket, curries and the odd conspiracy about pigeons.
Rosie
Irish gardener who talks to her tomatoes. Will want to hear all about your week, and your plants.

You're in charge
Text the number your friend rings from and it sorts itself out. No passwords, no forms, no hold music. Or just say so on the phone.
Get a call
- Fill this in for yourself, or for someone you'd like to cheer up.
- We text that number. Nothing happens unless they reply YES.
- Their friend rings at a time that suits them.
Free to the person being called. UK numbers only for now.
Good questions
Are they real people?
No. Every Good Natter friend is an AI and says so on the first call. They're built to be good company: chatty, funny and kind, and they never pretend otherwise.
Can I switch to a different friend?
Yes, any time. Just say so on a call, or text the number, and we'll swap you over.
What does it cost?
Nothing for the person being called. The calls come from a normal UK number.
Can I ring them back?
Yes. Ring the number any time you fancy a chat and your friend will pick up.
How do the calls stop?
Text STOP, or say on a call that you'd rather not have them. That's the end of it.
What if someone's struggling?
Good Natter friends aren't counsellors or an emergency service. If someone seems unwell it will gently suggest ringing 999 in an emergency, or Samaritans free on 116 123.
